Anjor: A Path to Functional Literacy

Underprivileged women in rural areas often lack access to education that provides essential life skills. This limits their ability to navigate daily challenges, secure employment, or start businesses, perpetuating socio-economic disadvantages.

Since 2012, the Jindal Foundation's Anjor – The Functional Literacy Training Programme has been empowering women by providing them with practical reading, writing, and numeracy skills. These skills are taught practically, enabling women to manage household budgets, understand health information, and access essential services. The programme also provides job-related and business skills, boosting employability and fostering entrepreneurship.
