award image

The Rath Yatra Festival at Puri attracts lakhs of devotees from across India, many of whom face challenges in accessing fresh, wholesome food and safe drinking water during the grand event. Sustaining their energy and hydration throughout the demanding spiritual journey is a critical need.

Since 2015, Jindal Foundation has been supporting devotees by providing:

Freshly cooked meals, including rice, dalma (lentil and vegetable medley), and khatta (chutney made from raw mangoes or fresh tomatoes).

Chilled drinking water supplied through a mobile refrigerated tanker with a 1,000-litre capacity.

Essential hydration support, including, such as glucose and ORS packets, distributed among devotees and servitors in collaboration with the Puri District Administration.

These efforts are seamlessly executed over 10 days, ensuring that the physical well-being of devotees aligns with their spiritual pursuits.
