Clean Villages, Healthy Communities

Poor sanitation practices and insufficient hygiene awareness contribute to the spread of diseases, environmental degradation, and reduced quality of life in rural communities. Despite advancements, many areas still require continuous education and enhanced infrastructure support to promote better living conditions.

In alignment with the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Jindal Foundation has implemented extensive sanitation and hygiene awareness initiatives across its business locations and nearby communities. These efforts include:

  • Organising large-scale sanitation and hygiene awareness drives.
  • Conducting regular village meetings to promote health and cleanliness.
  • Engaging youth, women, elderly, and school children to emphasise handwashing, use of soap and sanitisers and proper toilet usage.
  • Conducting training on the safe disposal of garbage and effective household waste management.
  • Implementing cleanliness drives to improve the overall village environment.
