Strengthening Rural Incomes with Dairy & Apiculture

Many farmers in rural regions struggle with sustainable income sources, relying on traditional farming methods with limited access to resources, technology, and market opportunities. These challenges hinder their growth and economic progress.

The Jindal Foundation has launched two impactful projects to support farmers:

  • Community Dairy: Farmers are engaged in cattle rearing, through a cluster-based model where milk is collected at designated Milk Collection Centres in local villages. These centres conduct quality testing and ensure a steady supply of milk to the market.
  • Apiculture (Beekeeping: The foundation has launched an apiculture initiative in Angul, Odisha, enabling farmers to develop honeybee colonies and establish beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood.
