The COVID-19 pandemic left many tribal and rural children orphaned, particularly in remote areas, resulting in a lack of access to proper care, education, and overall well-being. These children were at risk of being deprived of basic necessities, guidance, and emotional support.
The Jindal Foundation established the Jindal Children Home in Tamnar, Chhattisgarh, to provide a safe, nurturing environment for parentless and single-parent children. With capacity for 100 children (50 girls and 50 boys), the Home offers quality education, extracurricular activities, healthcare services, nutritious food, and life skills training for the holistic development of children. This facility adheres to the Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and provides value-based learning, spiritual classes, and mentoring for each child's individual needs.
