Sustainable Water Solutions for a Healthier Tomorrow

Water contamination and inadequate access to clean drinking water are critical issues in Barbil, Tamnar, and Raigarh. These challenges lead to widespread waterborne diseases and health complications, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

Jindal Foundation addresses these issues through scalable, innovative, sustainable, and accessible water solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders like CREDA and district administrations:

  • Water ATMs: Three units have been established in Tamnar and Raigarh, ensuring a steady supply of safe and clean drinking water to local communities.
  • Excess Iron Removal Plant: To combat iron contamination in Barbil, two Excess Iron Removal Plants were installed in Deojhar Gram Panchayat, alongside one Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant in Adivasi Vikash Samiti. These facilities are eco-friendly, require no electricity, and operate with a back-filter cleaning process at zero cost to users
  • Mobile Water Vans: Chilled and safe drinking water is dispensed year-round across Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand to underserved populations.
