Crafting Legacy, Shaping Futures

Dhokra craft, a centuries-old metalworking tradition from Chhattisgarh, has been at risk of fading due to limited market opportunities, lack of modern technology, and insufficient support for artisans. This has led to a decline in the craft's practice and growth potential, diminishing its cultural legacy.

The Jindal Foundation is working to revitalise the Dhokra craft. Its initiative provides artisans with ongoing training, introduces them to modern techniques, and helps them improve their products. The Foundation is also creating stronger market connections through Self-Help Groups and exhibitions, opening up wider sales opportunities.
