Ensuring Safe Water & Healthier Communities

Lakhs of people face challenges related to the availability and quality of safe drinking water, leading to health risks, particularly from waterborne diseases. The burden of fetching water falls disproportionately on women, adding to their daily hardships.

The Jindal Foundation has undertaken comprehensive initiatives to ensure access to potable and safe drinking water in communities near JSP's business locations. These efforts include constructing and maintaining overhead tanks, pipelines, bore wells, hand pumps, and tube wells in schools, villages, and community spaces. Additionally, solar-powered water facilities, water tankers, and mobile chilled water vans provide year-round relief. Pre-monsoon servicing and maintenance of water sources are also carried out, alongside initiatives like water ATMs and RO plants to ensure widespread access.
