Skills for Sustainable Futures

In Jharkhand, tribal communities, including women, faced severe economic hardship during the pandemic due to the undervaluing of traditional skills, limited access to new income sources and markets, further aggravated by lack of digital and entrepreneurial knowledge.

  • Launched a series of initiatives to empower women and artisans in Jharkhand.
  • Established Jindal Gyan Kendra to offer skill development training and promote entrepreneurship through knowledge-sharing, access to resources, and best practices.
  • Created Didi Digital Dhaba NH-143 to provide digital literacy and culinary skills training to women—combining food service with education to celebrate and modernize traditional cuisine.
  • Collaborated with the Asian Heritage Foundation to empower bamboo artisans with modern design skills, enabling them to create high-quality lifestyle products and access broader markets.
