Many rural farmers face difficulties accessing veterinary care for their livestock, resulting in delayed treatments, unaddressed health issues, and spreading of diseases. The absence of proper care can negatively impact livestock productivity and animal welfare while increasing the risk of contagious diseases.
The Jindal Foundation launched Jindal Vet Seva, a mobile veterinary service operating in peripheral villages of Angul (Odisha) and Raigarh (Chhattisgarh). The service provides veterinary care directly to farmers’ homes and farms, offering routine health examinations, treatment, vaccinations, artificial insemination, and control of stray animals. The mobile ambulances are equipped with GPS, technical devices, and staffed by qualified veterinarians and para-veterinary professionals to ensure timely and quality medical care.
