Project Gulzar: Rebuilding Lives, One Home at a Time

The devastating floods in the Kashmir Valley left numerous families homeless and struggling for basic shelter. The affected families faced immense challenges, including inadequate housing conditions and the need for safe, disaster-resilient homes to rebuild regain stability.

Jindal Foundation, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity India (HFHI), launched Project Gulzar to support flood-affected families in Kashmir. This initiative aimed to rebuild 20 safe and disaster-resilient homes between April 1, 2015, and March 30, 2016. Funded with Rs. 88 lakhs, the project provided sustainable and dignified housing, enabling the affected families to regain stability and safety. HFHI, a renowned NGO specialising in housing and disaster response, played a crucial role in designing and executing the construction of these homes.
