Menstrual Care, Community Care

Menstrual health and hygiene challenges persist among underprivileged women and girls due to limited access to affordable sanitary products, inadequate education, and poor infrastructure. This contributes to health problems like reproductive tract infections (RTIs), social stigma, and economic hardships. Effective menstrual hygiene management is crucial for health, dignity, and empowerment.

The Jindal Foundation addresses this issue by producing and distributing low-cost sanitary napkins under the initiative named Shubhangi. This approach involves using cost-effective local materials and engaging rural women in production and marketing. The Foundation collaborates with communities to ensure free sanitary napkin distribution, education on menstrual hygiene, and economic empowerment through a social business model ultimately contributing to a more equitable and inclusive society.
